ArchivedOSAS revisitedYou know (Omega) I am getting a bit tired and disgusted with your arrogant self-righteous attitude. Here is what I posted above: Aineo wrote:Your analysis of John 15 and Romans 11 denies Biblical truth since Jesus said: John 15:1-7
15:1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it, that it may bear more fruit. 3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing. 6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch, and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. NAS
Jesus was addressing Jews, not gentiles and there is no indication Jesus is referring to the unsaved being the branches that are pruned.
Here is your response: (Omega) wrote:And BOTH are cast into the fire to be burned. Your analysis of being "pruned" in comparison to the "loss of Salvation" is hilarious, John 15:2 actually states that the branches that are "pruned" are pruned to bring forth (MORE FRUIT), not loss of salvation. The branches that do not bring forth fruit are not "pruned" (kathairo:cleanse or to remove any impurity), they are "taken away" (airo:remove, put away). So you stating that there is such thing as a pruned unproductive branch is proven wrong. Therefore equating "cut off" (loss of salvation) to "pruned" is a complete distortion of scripture. Furthermore the term "cut off" does not denote loss of Salvation, take a look at this verse in the same passage:
I will admit I used “pruned” instead of “taketh away” but then I gave you credit for having enough sense to understand I was referring to this: John 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: KJV
Forgive me for not understanding that a child must be lead one step at a time. In modern horticulture suckers branches (unproductive branches) are pruned to remove them from the vine so they do not sap the vines strength that would otherwise feed productive branches and productive branches are pruned so they will be more productive. So here is my question in terms I hope you understand. Since Jesus is the vine and the Father is the husbandsman who taketh away every branch in Jesus that does not bear fruit, how did that branch that is “taketh away” become part of the vine?
Now I am going to delete any post you make that does not specifically address this one question and I will delete any post from this point forward that resorts to name calling or contains any derogatory remarks. And (Omega) this applies to the whole message board. In other words your posting privileges are on the line so think long and hard about how you are going to respond. And don’t think that sending me a PM to vent your wrath will suffice because it won’t since I have disabled your ability to PM anyone.
