You keep coming back to the same comment and that comment is prove that those who fall into apostasy or fall away from the faith were ever saved in the first place and when I ask for some criteria to show you that people can fall away or become apostate you dodge the question.
Am I arrogant? At times I am guilty of being arrogant. Do I lack humility? No human being can judge for himself if he is humble since by bragging about your humility is an exercise in pride, which is the antithesis of humility, however I have yet to meet anyone who would lable me as humble so what is your point? I asked you not to use large fonts because of vision problems yet you arrogantly post in large fonts, which after a simple request you agreed to abide by have refused to abide by, which is simply an arrogant infantile behavior that you can change if your choose to.
You excuse your past behavior as being the result of medication so if you can appeal to medication so can I since I am on three medications that cause sleeplessness, irritability, tremors, and can cause liver damage, high blood pressure, diabetes, and a whole laundry list of physical problems and have been for the past 10 years.
You want to discuss a false doctrine without resorting to personal attacks then do so. However when you ask me if I have the humility to accept your false doctrine you violate the precept you accusse me of violating since you have yet to prove that OSAS is not a false doctrine.
Now, you are the one who posted that "the faith" refers to doctrines essential to Christianity, not me. My stance is that faith in Jesus Christ is the sole basis for salvation and that any human being can loose or depart from their faith and by doing so end up in the lake of fire, which is a loss of salvation. I base this on Matthew 24:10f, 1 Timothy 4:1, 2 Thessalonians 2:3, and Revelation 21:7-8 as well as all the Scriptures that warn Christians about the consequences of willfull sin, and etc. In order to prove OSAS you first have to disprove these Scriptures and so far you have failed to disprove these Scriptures. In your attempt to disprove these Scriptures you have tried to redefine the meaning of "depart", which is nothing more than wrangling over words especially since every Scripture you posted concerning how "depart" is used in Scripture proves my side of this debate. You have also tried to deny the meaning of apostasy by appealing to one man's opinion, a opinion that is not shared by the vast majority of Bible scholars and theologians.
You are not going to win this debate by posting what God does in the life of a believer since God does not force "genuine believers" to live sanctified lives. He furnishes the tools but we must avail ourselves of those tools and Jesus plainly states that tribulation will cause some to fall away or depart and Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit explicitly states that some will fall away or depart because they pay attention to deceitful spirits and doctrine of demons. Now I will not back off from stating that denying the truth of Scripture is calling Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and Paul liars.
So my questions remain unanswered and these questions are:
1) What is your criteria for a "genuine believer".
2) How can one depart from a position or location they never professed or occupied.
3) What proof do you want that "genuine believers" can fall away from the faith and become apostate?
4) How do unbelievers become part of the vine that is Christ and how do unbelievers become grafted into the natural olive?
You see (Omega) if you take the position something is impossible then you need to establish criteria to show the impossibility of the other position. The criteria for conditional security is found in the words of Jesus and Paul as recorded in Scripture.
