Christian/Muslim Threadsa must readThe whole point of a Prophecy is that it leads you to a belief. You can't start with a belief and then try to interpret Prophecies to fit this understanding. Scroll up to the Jewish interpretations of these texts, I remember you quoted these before. You look back to a text which Jesus (pbuh) never authored or authenticated to learn about the most critical theological aspects regarding Jesus (pbuh)? People don't even trust a will if it's not signed by the deceased, but you risk disobeying Jesus' message by placing your trust in the words of men who were not Prophets of God, nor whose identities are known today. And God would have either approved of disapproved of Moses' laws. I highly doubt Moses went ahead and wrote laws that breach God's Message. The human teachings is the text you just used to tell me what Jesus did and didn't do. It's almost paradoxical how you want to find out what God said by searching through books that weren't ever seen by His Prophets. Your entire belief regarding the "correct" laws of divorce are based on a text that admittedly did not come from either Jesus (pbuh) or God. But the Bible is neither God's word nor Jesus' (pbuh). I don't see why you wouldn't strive to live AS Jesus (pbuh) lived. You claim that you can never reach his perfection, which is reasonable, but how hard is it for you to not eat pork? You believe your innate sinfulness forces you to eat swine? If Jesus (pbuh) didn't do it, and you don't strive to emulate him, how do you show you believed in his message? You base this on what the Bible tells you, which isn't even remotely from Jesus (pbuh) nor can anyone be sure of its transmission. So how do you love the person without loving their essence. You love everything BUT their essence, which is hate for God. You can wish the best for them, treat them kindly and with justice, but you should NEVER love the hate of God. Islam teaches exactly this. Exactly, so what are we disagreeing about then? I think it would be oppressive for you, from a Christian perspective, to watch a misguided person believe something that isn't true, and yet not say a word about it, and keep it to yourself. The issue is that some people are fine with never transmitting the word of God to anyone. They would rather hide somewhere and keep the message to themselves, even if they hear that somewhere people are being prevented from ever hearing the message, they refuse to transmit it. The duty of a Prophet of God is to transmit the message to mankind, regardless of who wishes it should remain among a select view and not disrupt their ungodly lifestyle and belief. Do you even believe that Adam and Eve lived in Heaven, or are you a complete evolutionist? Why would they? He was no longer there to preach to them anymore, they weren't interested in investigating whether what appeared to them was actually what happened, the outcome was the same, they returned to their old ways. Ezra is a Prophet of God, he's not going to invent things about himself being the son of God. That doesn't mean that misguided Jews didn't claim this about him to esteem him. I can't believe you can make the claim that no Jews ever believe or say this, did you peer into their hearts? Would any self-respecting Jew ever record that they believed this when it's blatantly an infraction of their own law? You must not read the OT very often. God speaks as He wills. And how many OT false prophets were stoned to death for their prophecies, lies, and prognostication? In Medina, when the Jews had attempted to assassinate the Prophet and conspired with the pagans to ambush the Muslims, breaking their pact. Also, the above never negates the rules of war in Islam, which is limited to men. http://www.jews-for-allah.org/jewish-my ... killed.htm As for the other stories, sometimes I wonder whether anyone here truly thinks they believe in God and the true religion in his sight. The Essenes battled the Romans for their blasphemies in exactly the same way, but I'm sure you would have sat back and watched as believers were butchered and the Message of God was distorted and fought.
