Christian/Muslim Threadsa must readThen you're still doing what I said you're doing. A Jew for example, doesn't acknowledge that the Bible is Jesus' writing, neither what he said or did. He does, however, believe the Torah is accurate. So how could he compare the prophecies of the OT with those that the Bible claims happened? The crucifixion is a prime example of this. The Messianic prophecies yes. True, the believers had the living Jesus (pbuh) as support for their faith. Their sons and daughters had authentic information about Jesus (pbuh) to support their correct faith. However, the Bible doesn't trace back to Jesus (pbuh) so you are oblivious as to whether what the Bible says about Jesus is accurate. Polygamy is not a norm or ideal, but it is a right under certain circumstances, a God-given right which the Prophets practiced. The same goes for divorce, sometimes a divorce is permitted, it's never a good thing, but it is by the leave of God. Prophets would of course, but not mere men. People often interpret religious texts to match their inner desires and whims. Good and bad, right and wrong, these are determined ONLY by God. If God says do not eat the flesh of swine, that's all a true believer needs to know. The true prophecies lead you to the RIGHT belief that Jesus (pbuh) is the Messiah. However, here's an important point. If person A writes a Prophecy. Then years later person B writes that the Prophecy came true, does that make it true? No, it doesn't. In order for a Prophecy to be a Prophecy it has to predict a True event, not simply have a text in the future that isn't authentic claiming that the Prophecy occurred. The Prophet Muhammad was never a pagan and never worshipped anyone but God. Besides, this is what the Jews tried to say about Jesus (pbuh), same types of argument. They denied the honor of Mary, and tried to say that a Prophet would never be born of an unchaste woman. They made criteria for the Prophets of God which prevented them from accepting them. The Unitarian Christians preserved the correct beliefs up until the revelation of the Qur'an. Also, when Jesus (pbuh) corrected the words of the Torah, it wasn't because the Mosaic laws had been just changed the night before. True, and He didn't. True, beware of all false prophets. However, the true Prophets of God always come with signs and miracles. False Prophets are ones that mislead you from the true words of Moses (pbuh), Jesus (pbuh), and Muhammad (pbuh). The trick of the false Prophets is not that they always appear obvious in your face like Joseph Smith, but they are unseen and mislead you by making you believe that you are on the right path. The false prophets are those that doctored the words of Christ in the Bible to their own theological beliefs and lied about him and claimed he said what he never said. Ok, but a father will love the best for his children, yet no father can claim that he loves for his son to hate him. No father will ever love his son's hate for him, that doesn't mean he will mistreat him or not love everything good for him, but to love another person's hate is not acceptable. Nobody can love an act that reflects hate of God, or pure sin. And a human father isn't more loving than God, not even close. I don't really have any enemies, but I do know people who hate God, and I can never love their hate for God because this is pure sin. I wish for them guidance, though. Nobody should oppress anyone anyway. Your first sentence is true. But let me tell you what you haven't considered. From your own Christian perspective, you think that pornography is obviously sinful. If you know a non-Christian who indulges in pornography, would you ever buy them pornography as a gift? You shouldn't ever help people do something which you consider to be a sin, or else you are helping them to sin, and if you are a true believer this is something you should never do. If you know a Satanist, would you purchase for him an object that he wants to use for an ungodly ritual? I hope not. That's because all you ever do is read hateful literature and sit around waiting for some new polemic to pop up against the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). You remind me of the Jews when they would spread rumors that Jesus (pbuh) was not observing the Sabbath even while he was performing Miracles. Can you believe that? They ignored the miracles and decided to claim that Jesus the Messiah was himself breaking a law? This is pure arrogance and shortsightedness. Anyway, here's a biography of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), it's my obligation to give you an accurate account: http://www.ymofmd.com/books/aram/index.htm Well the Qur'anic account of Adam and Eve makes perfect sense from a creationist standpoint. Why don't you believe that God created man? What doesn't make sense to you? As if the plotting of men can ever override the will of God. This is exactly what the Qur'an speaks about, the boasting and arrogance of the people who thought they could outdo the Messiah and stop his message from being spread. That they rejected Faith; that they uttered against Mary a grave false charge; That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:- (Qur'an 4:156-7) No bro, the passage doesn't say that the Jews at the time of the Prophet Muhammad said that Ezra was the son of God. Actually it refers to before that, when Ezra lived: "Ezra sat under the shade of a tree surrounded by the children of Israel and copied out the Torah for them from that script. Henceforth the Jews said that Ezra was the son of God, for the two pieces of evidence that came down from Heaven: for his copying the Torah and for his fighting the cause of the Israelites." God often speaks of Himself in the third person and as the majestic "We". This is because the Qur'an is the direct word of God, not a human paraphrasing. Peace bro |
