Christian/Muslim Threadsa must readWhen you claim to have the Truth, you have to bring evidence. For a Christian or anyone to want to adhere to "Scripture" they first have to show that it is divine and be able to account for why they believe it is the "word of God". This is what's so surprising about people who adhere to books which they are unsure of regarding divine authenticity. So just because someone doesn't adhere to the Truth, doesn't mean the Truth is not the Truth, but before one even FINDS the Truth, they have to bring divine evidence, which requires an authentic Scripture. If historians, academics, and theologians can't come to the defense that what they have is the word of God, directly from the mouth of His Prophet, they have an encyclopedia which may contain Truth, but is certainly not THE Truth. So you can name as many people as you want that adhere to the evidence within the Scripture, but you need to remove any academic opinion that has solid grounds that the Scripture itself, before it's even adhered to, is of sketchy origin. You don't even have past revelations to compare it to, on what do you make that claim, the Bible? The Bible which is even less authentic than a weak hadith? Haha, this is amazing. Scholars of all faiths and non-faiths all agree that the Qur'an is traceable back to its Prophet. But only A FEW, not even ALL, Christians claim that the Bible is unchanged, and NONE agree that it can be traced back to the words and actions of Jesus (pbuh). Not to mention that the Bible is a man-made text, whereas the Qur'an brings proof upon proof of its divine origin. The wolves are the ones that make you think there actually is evidence which supports the Bible as the word of God. The fact that there are devout Christian Historians who admit that it's not are the only ones standing up to the wolves. See, it's comforting enough for a layperson to be told by a Christian authority that the Bible is "the word of God" but how many will ever venture forth and test this and compare the text to other world Scriptures? Only the ones that aren't satisfied with false self-comfort. Definitely, they are equally as misleading. "Coming from Islam?" Haha, try to find an Orthodox Islamic site, not one backed by a sect. http://www.allah-muhammad-quran.de/Engl ... diyya.html Nice resource. That's like reading about Christianity by starting with what the Mormons say. Peace bro. |
