Christian/Muslim ThreadsChristianity: Man-Made Religion; Islam: Divine Principle.I would disagree with what you said in the above bold. What you are saying is a direct contradiction to what islam is defined as which is a deen which deals with every aspect of human life ie "religion, culture, politics, government, judicial, parenting, hygene, health, dieting, what you wear, character, science, agriculture, medicine, family orientation etc ~ the list goes on and on. All this is the deen in which we submit to ie we apply to our daily lives under islamic jurisprudence. We dont just submit to religious practices such salah, going to the masjid, fasting during Ramadhan, making Hajj or paying the Zakah. These are just the fundimentals in which islam goes WAY beyond such things of course to the best our abilities we can apply them. Helping the poor when we see them in need or helping an old lady cross the street, or removing a bottle from in the middle of the road that might cause enjury to others, helping those in need of help even if they are Jews or Christians. Respecting our Neighbors even if they are Jews or Christian etc we are to help them and to be hospitable to them. Do we do this for our selves ? No, we do it for the Love of Allah cause he has commanded us to do such things and we submit and obey. Wrong ! Inthe Quran it teaches us that the same DEEN he revealed unto us he revealed to the former prophets from Noah, Abraham, Isac, Ismael, Moses, Solomon, David to Jesus. It is the followers who invented for themselves, per their interpretation, what and how to follow the teaching of their repected Prophets. The Quran also teaches us they where all submitters ie muslims . Let me remind you the word muslim in Arabic is a proper adjective not a proper noun or a common noun as many people believe. Those Jews and Christians that submit to what was revealed to their prophets from the Torah and the Gospel are defined as muslims, the distinction the Quran gives between a Christian submitter (Muslim) or a Jewish submitter (Muslim) from us who believe in the Quran and the prophethood of Muhammad is we are called Hunufa or Haneef meaning True Believers. When Allah addresses us in the Quran He does not say "Yaa ayyulladzeena muslimoon ~ O you who are muslims" He says "Yaa ayyuhalladzeena aamaanoo ~ O you who believe" I am sorry to say this but I have found much prejudice my self on the behalf of our scholars who translate Quran that prejudice these terms as there are universal applied to Jews and Christians also, that even stoop in depriving the true message of what the Quran actually says about them in it arabic text which they water down with prejudicial interpretations. |
