Trinity DebateJesus as the embodied pre-existent SonYou guys are trying to squeeze blood from a turnip. Acts 2 isn't the place where Christ's Christology is discussed. To not go in detail on who Jesus was before He came into this world doesn't consitute as a lie. John is full of Christology, as are passages from Colossians and Hebrews and other places. How am I rationalizing? I'm not importing beliefs here, Aineo. Scripture reveals to us that Jesus actually came down from Heaven. He emptied Himself and came in human likeness, in our own appearance. Doesn't that language strike you? and you're trying to sneak away from the discussion of Jesus's preexistence. Jesus was there in the beginning, He is before all things. He is the First and the Last. The Father is the same way. Jesus and the Father are one. I can't emphasize enough that nothing is being "imported" here. |
