ArchivedHoly Crusades...Truthfully I do not now and have never understood the "crusade" against porn. Almost every fine arts museum has paintings and sculptures on display that would be considered "porn" by some. Turn on your TV, attend a big budget movie, or listen to popular music and one can be just as adversely affected in a psychosexual way as watching “Debbie does Dallas”. In my opinion what passes for “effective advertising” is just as lascivious and as potentially arousing as any video found in adult bookstores. Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, some of Shakespeare’s plays, and other literary classics fall into the same category as “potentially” arousing since the human imagination can be just as “arousing” as an explicit picture. |
