Ahh, tell you what - you display your 10 Commandments right next to the Wiccan Rede - I'll stop complaining about them being in the courthouses. My personal problem with the 10 Commandments being posted is that it implies that it gives Governmental preference to Christianity. For those that are not Christian it's an insult. It basically says, "We know you have to enter this Government institution. Make sure you do so knowing that if you're not Christian it will be held against you." That's the whole point to the "separation of church and state", and I do (most certainly) agree with it. If the Christians were willing to give equal time to other religious groups (Muslims, Mormons, Pagans, Buddhists, Satanists, Athiests) in the same setting then there probably wouldn't be nearly as many people finding anything wrong with it
Not only that - placing the 10 Commandments in the courthouses would require (once again) a change of laws - once again, for the Christians (nobody else, just the Christians). Not a law change for everyone that's
not Christian. By putting the 10 Commandments in a government building you are asking for preferential treatment which no other religious group will recieve. Doesn't sound to "equal" to me...
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Frame the Wiccan Rede and take it to a courthouse that has the Ten and I'll bet you they will hang it there.
The Supreme Court just made a ruling this week that the Ten can be hung as long as it is with other documents like Hamurabi's code.
For those that are not Christian it's an insult.
I'm sorry that you may be insulted by this but were you always insulted by them?
Make sure you do so knowing that if you're not Christian it will be held against you."
Come on Rok
If the Ten are hanging or not, it is about the judge and jury not what is hanging on the walls. Your case (anybodys) is going to be decideded by the defense and prosecution.

Nope not really, is not more about Congress establishing a national relegion? Wasn't Christianity already established.

So it is ok to have these laws to take away my right to have a document in a public place (where by the way I pay a ton of taxes)
Kind of falling into your Porn thread isn't it?

It is not my fault that the Rede is not displayed everywhere. It comes down to organizing the Pagans to display such articles. Not Christianitys fault.
Just some good ole debate No Harm intended
