Christian/Muslim ThreadsMuslim view of the BibleThe authenticity of a holy book is one of many points used to debate the divinity of a holy book. But it is removed. Not just in the RSV, but also in the NIV. Contradiction: Was Ahaziah 22 (2 Kings 8:26) or 42 (2 Chronicles 22:2) when he began to rule over Jerusalem? Before you begin, I have read the Christian response that the writers of the Bible were mere men and so on. But guess what? So where the scribes of the Quran (and they weren’t even inspired). It’s no excuse! Sorry mate. Exactly! He never said it. But your Bible is proof within itself. Well I feel sorry for you that you can’t even agree to a Bible. This Bible claiming that the other has fabricated verses in it and vice versa. You don’t see this happening with the Quran, now do you? Thank you for the source! This is how the verse reads: Say (Oh Muhammad): “Oh people of the scripture (Jews and Christians)! You have nothing (as regards to guidance) till you act accordingly to the Torah and the gospel and what has (now) been sent down to you from your Lord (the Quran)….” When the verse says “act accordingly to the Torah and the gospel”, it means : 1.To accept the description of Muhammad in these scriptures 2.To follow the laws in the scripture- example is given of a Jewish woman who committed adultery, and the Prophet asked the Jews what their book says in regard to the punishment of adultery. General view of the verse: “A close look would clearly show that the implication of the verse, contrary to what the Jewish scholar has stated, is that the people of the book not only refuse to accept the Qur'an - which has been revealed to them from their Lord - but also do not abide by the books, which they themselves hold to be Divine.” http://www.understanding-islam.com/rela ... sscatid=52 I didn’t say the verses were fabrications, these scholars did. Regarding Mark 16, the Bible online website Bible Gateway, states: The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do not have Mark 16:9-20. http://bible.gospelcom.net/cgi-bin/bibl ... ersion=NIV Another quote from Bible Gateway: 5:7,8 Late manuscripts of the Vulgate testify in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. 8 And there are three that testify on earth: the (not found in any Greek manuscript before the sixteenth century) http://bible.gospelcom.net/cgi-bin/bibl ... ersion=NIV No! No! And so Christianity says… *sighs*. The rolling of the eyes is portraying my annoyance at your comment. How difficult is it for you to understand such a simple thing? Do emoticons confuse you? Understand my own self? What kind of response is that? Peace and Blessings be to the Believers |
