Christian/Muslim ThreadsMuslim view of the BibleObviously you haven't heard of Wolves in Sheep's clothing... It is a tactical approach, you use flattering speech, enough to get you inside, and then you reveal your true intentions. The authors of the Qu'ran used some good tactics in trying to take away from the importance of the Messiah; for example, Muslims came up with this "infallibility" doctrine, claiming that ALL the prophets were sinless, and therefore, taking away from the Messiah's own sinless life -- making him but another prophet. Then there is the whole praise, but the same praise is given to all, diminishing the his worth, by making him but another prophet. Then they come up with making claims about birth and death, and resurrection -- but they use it to speak of other personages, therefore, taking away from the uniqueness of this in the Messiah's own death and resurrection. They make it seem as if it was just a manner of speech, and not a prophecy about his own death, and resurrection. They argue about Jesus virgin birth, and compare it to Adam, trying to make him seem like just another human being. They willfully ignore the fact that it is not his birth, but his pre-existent nature that makes him Son of God. But the common folk is tricked, their attention is diverted from his pre-existence, to his human form, and they think that his virgin birth was what made people think that he was divine. These are the tactics of the authors of the Qu'ran, they were truly ingenious, I have to say. They managed to fool the masses. |
