Christian/Muslim ThreadsMuslim view of the Bible*confused* How am I a copy cat for starting this thread? If you look at the first post in this thread it is labeled:
Anyway, the point of this thread is not to debate whose view of whose book is correct - it is solely so that I can understand how Muslims look at the Bible. With that in mind, I respond to Lady Fatima. On what basis do you say it is half-truths? Because you believe it contradicts itself, or because you believe in contradicts the Quran? The Torah isn't the Bible. It's the books of Moses plus rabbinical commentary. I'm not concerned with how you view that. What evidence do you have that the Bible that fundamental Christianity regards as the Bible (not the contemporary, liberal versions) has been altered? Shouldn't the emphasis be on the word "believe" rather than "we"? I believe the KJV is the best English translation on the original Hebrew and Greek, and that the original Hebrew and Greek in it's present state is the same as it was when it was authored. But my believing that doesn't make it so. Just like your believing that the Quran is in it's present state doesn't make it so. A belief is not a proof. |
