Christian/Muslim ThreadsMuslim view of the BibleSo then how do you choose which ones are good and which ones are corrupt? you can say that again.... If there's nothing that's "black n white" then how can you know if anything you choose as far as a holy book is right? Obviously, you're gonna say that the whole Quran is good. That seems pretty black and white. The question is: what of the Bible do you think is holy? Just the OT? Just certain writers? Just certain parts of certain writers? And what criteria do you use to say that something in the Bible is ok? If it's just a matter of bumping the Bible up against the Quran and saying whatever agrees is ok, then the Bible must be taken by muslims as a purely historical textbook, because the doctrines taught by each book are nowhere near reconcilable, no matter what you think. Yeah, that was me. The whole point of your next paragraph is moot because it in no way addresses what I was trying to say. The whole reason I brought that up was because 100%muslim was saying that he didn't want to do something that was commanded in the Bible because it was impractical. Yet, he does something that is commanded in the Quran that is just as impractical. |
