I wonder if you see the contradiction in this:
Women can publicly pray and prophesy in church (1 Cor. 11:1–16)
..it is a shame for women to speak in the church..
How does a woman publicly pray and prophesy in church without speaking in church? What is the purpose of the gift of prophecy? The edification of the church, which means those who prophesy teach the church and includes men (1st Corinthians 14:3). Now, I agree that women should not have authority over men in that they should never serve as a senior pastor but there are many offices in churches that are filled with priests (pastors) that do not give them authority over the whole church.
The whole church is a "royal priesthood".
1st Peter 2:9-10
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
NAS
So you see Rome your whole argument just fell apart.
Now let's put Matthew 9:8 in context:
Matthew 9:1-8
9:1 And getting into a boat, He crossed over, and came to His own city. 2 And behold, they were bringing to Him a paralytic, lying on a bed; and Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, "Take courage, My son, your sins are forgiven." 3 And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This fellow blasphemes." 4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, "Why are you thinking evil in your hearts? 5 "For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise, and walk'? 6 "But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"-- then He said to the paralytic-- "Rise, take up your bed, and go home." 7 And he rose, and went home. 8 But when the multitudes saw this, they were filled with awe, and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
NAS
Who was the man who forgave sin; Jesus. Have you checked the Greek in vs. 8? Translators do not translate "tois" (this) that precedes "anthropoois", which is "man" not "men". BTW, if you limit "men" in general teachings to "men only" you just excluded all women from God's promises.
You are being selective with your Scriptures concerning confession of sin.
James 5:13-18
13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15 and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain; and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the sky poured rain, and the earth produced its fruit.
NAS
Now, give me a Biblical example of any apostle forgiving the sin of any person. The fact is Rome you cannot, which should tell you that your interpretation of John 20:21-23, which as usual you have pulled out of context:
John 20:19-23
19 When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and said to them, "Peace be with you." 20 And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples therefore rejoiced when they saw the Lord. 21 Jesus therefore said to them again, "Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you." 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 "If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained."
NAS
The Lord's disciples included women, therefore if men can forgive sin so can women.
Your poor attempt to justify transubstantiation is exposed when you finish reading John 6.
John 6:60-71
60 Many therefore of His disciples, when they heard this said, "This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it?" 61 But Jesus, conscious that His disciples grumbled at this, said to them, "Does this cause you to stumble? 62 "What then if you should behold the Son of Man ascending where He was before? 63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. 64 "But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him. 65 And He was saying, "For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me, unless it has been granted him from the Father."
66 As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew, and were not walking with Him anymore. 67 Jesus said therefore to the twelve, "You do not want to go away also, do you?" 68 Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life. 69 "And we have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God." 70 Jesus answered them, "Did I Myself not choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil?" 71 Now He meant Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray Him.
NAS
When the Lord instituted the Lord's Supper the bread and the wine were symbolic of his flesh and blood.
As to images used in worship, you are using what men have done to justify an act that God labels a capitol sin. You see Rome I can appeal to the tabernacle and the temple to show that using images for decoration is not prohibited to the Jews since the tabernacle, temple and there furnishings were decorated with images of angels, bulls, flowers, and fruit. However, no Jew bent the knee before these images. And before you deny that any Catholic bends the knee to any image I suggest you check out all the pictures of your popes who did. The fact is that God not only prohibited worshiping images, He prohibited bending the knee before an image.
The source of new life is through faith in Jesus Christ and is confirmed when we are sealed with the Spirit.
The foundation of the Lord's church is the apostles and the prophets, not pagan religious practices imported into Christianity by Greeks. Therefore let's look at the foundation.
Leviticus 18:1-3
18:1 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2 "Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'I am the LORD your God. 3'You shall not do what is done in the land of Egypt where you lived, nor are you to do what is done in the land of Canaan where I am bringing you; you shall not walk in their statutes.
NAS
God’s prohibition of the use of images was not revoked with the New Covenant. God cursed Solomon’s line and excluded it from the kingship because Solomon built pagan shrines for his pagan wives. Now you are appealing to pagan religions to justify a pagan practice.
Now, lets look at the Catholic definition of the Trinity:
There is therefore nothing created, nothing subject to another in the Trinity: nor is there anything that has been added as though it once had not existed, but had entered afterwards: therefore the Father has never been without the Son, nor the Son without the Spirit: and this same Trinity is immutable and unalterable forever (P. G., X, 986).

However, Catholicism by teaching Mary is the mother of God has denied the above by acknowledging Jesus had a beginning and separating the essence of the Son from the essence of the Father. Catholicism has also acknowledged that the Son is a created being since he had a mother. You are also saying that the one God had a mother. Catholicism tries to get around this dichotomy by teaching the Trinity is a mystery.
Since you are appealing to Matthew 28:19 tell us the “name” of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father’s name is Yehovah, the son’s name is Yehoshua, and the Holy Spirit does not have a name.
As to appealing to the OT to show that “brothers” does not mean “brothers” is ludicrous since Greek has words for brother (adelfos), sister (adelfee), cousin (anepsior), kinsmen (sungenees) and kinswomen (sungenis).
Mary is a virgin in the sense that she never had intercourse. I think your biblical translations and self-interpretations of scripture are wrong, misguided and heretical.
Then so are all your Catholic translations since they agree with non-Catholic translations. None of your traditions are Bible based.
