ArchivedThe Quran - Is pre-ordained sin mans responsibility?Alexei, I could have spoken of your first two questions in the same answer as they overlap, but I want to keep them separate on purpose. I have to emphasise once again, that we are not just talking about a separation that is a human separation. The ONLY way this comment on the cross makes sense is if JESUS REALLY IS GOD. I tried to explain that in my previous post and hopefully, at this late hour of my day, it does at least make some sense, and I'm happy to explain more tomorrow if you have furthur comments on the Deity of Christ. I for one, know that the only way much of all that happened on the cross makes any sort of logic, is if Jesus is God. As a mere human, your comments would make perfect sense and would be extremely logical in their conclusions. However, the comments themselves become the source of confusion if you read this in any other way that from the perspective of God and not man. Now, why those words on the cross.. "Eloi, Eloi, lama Sabachtahani?" (please note, they were spoken on the cross, and not in the garden and that is important. This is at the moment, where God the Father has turned his back on God the Son. God the son has become sin for us and now the entire world is in darkness and the temple curtain will soon be torn in two.. this is symbolic of the holy of holies suddenly becoming accessible to all men. (and not just the high priest, as in the case of the temple worship of the Jews). Listen to God's own words in Amos "'And it will come about in that day,' declares the Lord GOD, 'That I shall make the sun go down at noon, And make the earth dark in broad daylight. Then I shall turn your festivals in mourning... And I will make it like a time of mourning of an only son, And the end of it will be like a bitter day.'" (Amos 8:9-10) Now listen to David's words in Psalm 22 and recognize the same words My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning? " My God (El), my God (El), why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? 2 O my God (Elohim), I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. ... 10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God (El) from my mother's belly. Now, let me look at your third question and hope this one is answered at least in enough detail to satisfy you. More soon Alexei. |
