Christian/Muslim ThreadsThe Main Questions AreSalams Joseph, thank you for your comments, Oh yes. We were begging for you to write more. Why do keep telling us you write a little. Interesting after reading a quite hefty literature in your previous message that you did not ask any questions. In fact, as you could see I asked the question and answered myself. You see, I'm quite flexible in scope of the discussion. And regarding your dissatisfaction, in my previous message I said "I wont discuss." However you can write whatever you wish. Well, man, maybe you are attaching so much importance to yourself. You should know that you are not of my concern. I'm more interested in the objective reader, as we are not making this discussion in privacy. I thought you would care to remind us about the context of the quote. That was about arguments against atheists. And I was trying to remind that such an argument ("everything has a reason") is not ontologically conclusive and believers should not expect all of their assumptions readily accepted by atheists as well. For me personally "eveything has a reason" is still a valid assumption, not in a strictly deterministic way though. What is vivid in this and previous message of yours is that you are not addressing my points, you are trying to discredit them. With no success though. You know thats a strategy applied when people are afraid that counter arguments will be taken by their fellows. Untested theory. When was Schroedinger's cat tested? I should say I care for common terms more than you can imagine. Those are not messages I would write on an atheist forum. I said "One can know God by innate capabilities" I said "God put that in our hearts." Do you have any objection to that as a Christian? That island story is not intended as a proof but just an illustrative example. Then came the main question. You see the order, assumptions on common terms, illustration and the argument. What you got to say against it. Nothing but personal attacks! As for simplification, I majored in physics. I dont like to step on rotten piece of wood, to say it with a Turkish idiom. I can do nothing but think analytical. And thats what science is all about. |
