Salaam Unite,
My apologizes for misunderstanding, but nonetheless, my observation was not contingent on validation. I am very happy you did not lose faith in God. Despite your suspicions, last thing I would want is explaining to Lord Jesus, why I should be happy a Muslim became atheist.
Interesting statement: Two logical paths to take One God or no God. Would you like to modify or further explain this supposed logical commonality, I do not wish to be accused of being a word bending missionary again. Your statements of which I am almost certain of meaning, I will answer. Maybe you remember following question in earlier post
..."What is found ultimately to be incomprehensible, is opposed to reason, and the simpler and more amenable to human understanding should be preferred......Is this correct?" --Joseph
I had wondered if you would reword the above into Occam's Razor and hoped for better. Here, it need be stressed, the source of faith is God and not doctrines, at least for myself. Let's put Occam to work again. Given two explanations on nature of incomprehensible being, lesser explanation on nature of the incompressible being should be accepted . And according to appended qualifier, but both explanations could be equally wrong. So if simplicity of doctrines are requirement of truth, then Deism should be preferable to Islam. You can see the problems I have with this method of determining the true nature of God. Perhaps you have more to say.
As for most atheist being stupid, the statement goes too far, God knows babbling idiots can be found in any group. Most atheist are people like us, of average intelligence and life. As I cannot expected to be an impartial observer on matter of religion, neither can the atheist. However some intelligent atheist have excellent knowledge on religions and are able to explain the rationality of doctrines better than the adherents. There is more I would like to add but discussion is already taking on too may parts.
btw--Do you believe as I do, that it takes away something from discussion when a person's message is excessively quoted in the response it receives?
regards, joseph
