Paul is teaching Jewish tradition? how do you know this? Jewish tradition is also the belief in Purgatory!
The scripture you have quoted state that Scripture is essential. And ofcourse it is!
But like you said Scripture speaks positivly about tradition 4 times! Therefore tradition is part of faith.
You have not proved that Catholic tradition voids Gods word, nor can you prove it.
Sola scriptura is generally composed of two parts. The first is rather well-known and stated by the name: That Scripture alone is the infallible rulebook, so to speak, that all practices, devotions, and doctrines are to be tested (an aberration, solo scriptura, appears to be held by the majority of Protestants and states that Scripture is to be the sole source for all practices, devotions, and doctrines). The second part is more generally known as the perspicuity of Scripture, that is, the openness of Scripture on certain doctrines. A typical summation of this last part can be seen here, in this extract from the first chapter of the Westminster Confession;
VII. All things in Scripture are not alike plain in themselves, nor alike clear unto all; yet those things which are necessary to be known, believed, and observed, for salvation, are so clearly propounded and opened in some place of Scripture or other, that not only the learned, but the unlearned, in a due use of the ordinary means, may attain unto a sufficient understanding of them.
But is this true? Let us consider one of the most central doctrines of Christianity, and one which nearly, if not all, Protestants hold that a belief in is necessary for salvation: The Trinity.
That the Blessed Trinity is in Scripture is not in doubt. But can it be found in a plain reading of the Scriptures, if not handed down already? The answer here is: No.
The Trinity is defined as: One God in three Divine Persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Who are distinct from each Other yet are equal , coeternal, and coexistent.
For where in Scripture does it say that God is Three-in-One?
It doesnt tradition my friend tradition!
