Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesThe Bible Defines, What Sin is...Hi Aineo
You have continually stated that the law of God and the law of sin are one in the same but the above scriptures say otherwise and very clearly so in verse 25. He sees his mind serving one law (that of God) while his flesh serves another (sin). If you will agree and listen to what God says we can work through our differences however if you deny what is plainly stated then all is lost. Paul did not say his flesh was sin however he did say the law of sin was in his members. A “law” means for better or worse that the subject at hand is present and the word sin is used as both a noun or a verb. The verb part is easy to understand however the noun takes a tad more revelation and the definitions in the original language dictionaries help a lot. You do not have universal wisdom and to deny the wisdom available in dictionaries of languages that you know nothing of speaks for itself and a change in your outlook is in order. Furthermore when one goes back to the story of creation it is simple to see that the “form” of man that had no life until God breathed into it was made from what God described as “good”. There is nothing wrong with your body or mine or anyone else's however there are evil spirits that come and present themselves to you. Paul knew his body was not the problem and that the evils spirits were and said so in the following verse. Eph.6: 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. As Paul says we are the temple of God and as long as He rules in your high place everything is fine but things change when you allow the above mentioned rulers of darkness rule in your high place. FURTHERMORE THE ABOVE VERSE PLAINLY STATES THE BODY (FLESH AND BLOOD) IS NOT THE PROBLEM BUT SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IS!!!!!! I do not know why you refuse this verse but you are very obivously in denial of it Jesus warned us of what could and would happen (if allowed to) to one after salvation in the following passage when the evil spirit that should not be allowed access to ones high place is able to return and set up shop again. Matt.12: 43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. When James said that if we resist Satan he will flee us he meant just that and the evil spirit that is presenting itself can be made to leave so what ever you meant by saying that James blows my theory is unfounded. In case you have not yet become aware Satan is an evil spirit and the seven other spirits more wicked mentioned above are just more of the same bad thing…..spiritual wickedness, the law of sin that resides in your flesh. Just because the law of sin can work in your flesh and is present there it does not mean that you have to allow it to rule over you as you have been given a Holy Spirit that is more powerful than it, that is why this law shall not have dominion over you (Ro.7:1) Blessings Doug |
