Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesThe Bible Defines, What Sin is...Aineo Wrote Try this verse Ro.7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. I do not have theology as you put it however I do have a fair amount of understanding. Nor am I confusing spirit with Spirit and through having a separation of body and spirit (and declared dead by "medical experts" that were reduced to babbling idiots when I came back to life) I have a understanding of spirit that may benefit you if you allow it Peter is referring to the law as taught by the traditions of men and not that of God. If you go back to the OT you will see many laws GIVEN BY GOD that explained exactly how God would have others join themselves unto Israel. The traditions of men were ridiculed by Jesus but unfortunately they are still taught today in "theology seminary schools" that would be better labeled "Pharisee Schools". Not according to scripture Matt. 5: 17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. There is a reason behind the quote "keep your words soft and sweet, you never know when you might have to eat them. There is a major difference between the Laws of God and the laws of man that have been taught to Gods people through those who still need to be taught. Paul (I believe him to be the author) speaks these words to those who did not understand spiritual food at the close of He.5 and the beginning of the next chapter. Paul had the advantage of being taught the erroneous traditions of the Pharisees as well as the Law of God and was able to understand why the dietary laws were written. Jesus said what you take in your mouth does not matter (that is not a quote so don't get picky) yet HE CAME TO FULFILL THE LAW. The Jews (for the most part and still don't) were not able to grasp the fact that the law was in many ways designed to protect prophecy. That is why they could not grasp the significance of Jesus healing on the Sabbath He.5: 11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. The bottom line is we can either lighten up on the rhetoric and allow some benefit to come from this dialogue or let it resemble some sort of cat fight. The choice is yours BTW The auto notification of reply does not seem to be working although I have the box checked for it. Would you please correct this for me. Thanks Peace and Blessings Douglas |
