Okay, now lets put Romans 7:23 in context:
Romans 7:21-25
22 For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, 23 but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin. NAS
When you read all of chapter 7 you learn what Paul is teaching about the Law and the fact that without the Law he would not be convicted when he coveted. Paul makes a distinction between what he wants to do and what he actually does. Now move to chapter 8:
Romans 8:1-4
8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. NAS
Theology is a system of beliefs (most times simply opinions). Therefore you do have a theology based on taking verses out of context such as Mattthew 5:17-19. Now when we read Matthew 5:20 onward we see that Jesus fulfilled (competed) the law by equating intent or motivation with the act. Had Jesus fulfilled the Law it would be of non-effect just as a contract is no longer enforceable after the conditions of the contract are fulfilled.
Now while Satan is called the prince of this world Satan only has as much control over you as you allow him to have. James wrote:
James 1:13-18
14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow. 18 In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we might be, as it were, the first fruits among His creatures. NAS
Now God is not the author of evil. God did not force Satan to rebel, God does not temp us to sin, God cannot do anything that goes against His nature and character.
Also you totally missed my point concerning Acts 10:28-29. God showed Peter through his vision that gentiles and Jews are equal in the sight of God. You also seem to have missed the point of Acts 15. The only parts of the Mosaic Law the council imposed on gentiles were:
28 "For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials: 29 that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication; if you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well. Farewell. " NAS
Paul wrote:
Galatians 3:23-29
23 But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. 24 Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, that we may be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise. NAS
And:
Romans 13:8-10
8 Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. 9 For this, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." 10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; love therefore is the fulfillment of the law. NAS
James wrote:
James 2:8-9
8 If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law, according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing well. 9 But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. NAS
