Ah, so what we have is a matter of which manuscripts are actually closer to the originals don't we? Have you checked these verses in the NASB?
1 Timothy 3:16
16 And by common confession great is the mystery of godliness:
He who was revealed in the flesh,
Was vindicated in the Spirit,
Beheld by angels,
Proclaimed among the nations,
Believed on in the world,
Taken up in glory.
NAS
Luke 2:33
33 And His father and mother were amazed at the things which were being said about Him.
NAS
Colossians 1:14-15
14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. 15 And He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation.
NAS
Mark 1:2-3
2 As it is written in Isaiah the prophet,
"Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,
Who will prepare Your way;
3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness,
'Make ready the way of the Lord,
Make His paths straight.' "
NAS
What it all boils down to is prejudice against a translation that offends the sensibilities of KJ onlyism. The NIV may not be the best translation but neither is the KJV, which contains many translation errors and includes known spurious passages.
