Jamal and Aineo
Aineo, your saying that homosexuality hurts friends and family. Your confusing the issue. I agree that someones who abandons his family for another gay man might indeed be hurting his family, but this is very different from a gay man who decides he wants to have a life partner and is commited to a loving relationship.
Furthermore the very idea that a man is gay hurts a family, you should consider this: Jesus "came with a sword." He made war on the established social order and as a result set the young against the old and causing dissension among families. It probably hurt fathers and mothers if their son abandoned their current life to be a follower of Jesus, but does this mean that it was wrong. Maybe it hurts someone if you decide that you need to do something to fulfill your life but that does not make it wrong.
Aineo, thank you for finally admitting that you threatened to practice censorship in violation of your own forum rules. You still however are making an excuse for it that is baseless and unfair. You say I was infantile and used personal attacks. Im afraid that once again you are the one who was doing exactly what you critisize me of. I have never once attacked you or called you names. I have acted courteously to you whereas you have repeatedly called me obnoxious, a baby, arrogant, and a tool of gay theology, because I strongly disagree with you.
You know why I am reluctant to put my name and adress out on this site. Im not sure how many "Christians" you have hear who would get violent when something is said that they dont like or that is "enabling fags." I know that your not that kind of person but Ive read plenty of opinons here here that makes me not want to endanger my family to the wackos who blow up abortion clinics or might attack heretical fag-enablers.
to Jamal. God bless indeed. i am so happy to hear from someone else out there who is more interested in Christ's message than the outdated intolerant dogma that he attacked. Hope to hear from you more.
I leave with these words of Christ: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. this is the law and the prophets"
Mathew 7:12
Goodbye rules against eating shellfish, homosexuality, purity of fabrics, isolating someone with an STD, and the rest of the ancient Hebrew dogma. Hello treating others the way that you would want to be treated. Loving consenting gay partners and loving consenting heterosexual partners.
God bless,
James
