People of other Christian beliefs can back up those beliefs with Scripture; so far you have expressed your opinions. Now your definition of immorality is insufficient. So lets start with this:
2 Peter 1:20-21
20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. NAS
Now, with this in mind I have asked you to tell me what it means to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. I will give you a hint where I am coming from Jesus said
John 14:15 "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. NAS
My other question was to define immorality and since we are discussing Biblical truth it is Biblical morality we need to address, not your personal opinions or definitions.

2 : an immoral act or practice
Main Entry: im·mor·al

Function: adjective

: not moral; broadly : conflicting with generally or traditionally held moral principles
- im·mor·al·ly /-&-lE/ adverb
Sexual activity outside of marriage is immoral. What constitutes sex outside of marriage, Biblical marriage? Unless you have a Bible different than any I own Biblical marriage is a union between a man and a woman this excludes male/male and female/female unions.
You choose to exclude OT Law, fine then we are left with the NT.
Gal 3:24-26
24 Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, that we may be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. NAS
2 Tim 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. NAS
But I see you discount Paul’s writings because he does not agree with your opinion. So, it we are going to through Paul’s inspired writings out where in the Bible do you have the guidelines for same-sex unions? God is very specific about sexual relationships between men and women. Since these guidelines don’t exist our only source of information about same-sex unions is found in the OT.
Leviticus 18:22
22 'You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. NAS
Leviticus 20:13
13 'If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them. NAS
And Paul’s writings:
Romans 1:26-27
26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. NAS
1 Corinthians 6:9
9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, NAS
1 Timothy 1:10
10 and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, NAS
Jesus told us we are to love (agapao) your neighbor. The Greek word for erotic or physical love is “eros”, which is never used in Scripture. Jesus also told us to love our enemies, which means we are to love the terrorists who flew jets into the World Trade Center. Now we can love those terrorists but we don’t have to accept the terrorist act and we don’t have to like them.
You object to people equating homosexuals with murderers and child molesters, actually I think this is a bit harsh but I will without being harsh compare them to adulterers since both are condemned in the Bible as immoral and unless you see adultery as being okay because Jesus said “love your neighbor” and equate love with sex should not find this comparison hateful.
Now since the Bible is our only accurate source of information about God and Jesus it is your turn to Biblically tell me without editorial opinion why you see homosexual sex as okay.
If you can't respond Biblically I will not respond to any of your future posts since I have other responsibilities and forums where people discuss issues Biblically not with cheap grace opinions.
You assign our stand on homosexuality on the Christian right have you taken into account what the church fathers believed? For St. Augustine (354-430 A.D.) thoughts on this subject you might try reading The Two Cities.
For Augustine all sexual acts or pleasure outside of marriage were mortal sins -- acts sufficient to separate people forever from God and so consign them to hell.
"But though such is our character .... the things said of us are an example of the proverb, 'The harlot reproves the chaste.' For those who have set up a market for fornication, and established infamous resorts for the young for every kind of vile pleasure - who do not abstain even from males, males with males committing shocking abominations, outraging all the noblest and comeliest bodies in all sorts of ways, so dishonouring the fair workmanship of God .... revile us for the very things which they are conscious of themselves, and ascribe to their own gods, boasting of them as noble deeds, and worthy of the gods. These adulterers and pederasts defame the eunuchs and the once married .... but it incumbent on us to be good and patient of evil." [Athenagoras "Plea for the Christians", XXXIII and XXXIV]
