Law
You know what else is law according to you Aineo, isolating someone with a STD, refraining from going near a woman who is menstruating. It seems that you miss the entire spiritual revolution brought on by Christ.
If you are a Christian the law is love, and kindness. To Jesus Law means doing to others as you would have them do unto yout adherence to such rules as: abstaining from pork and shrimp, executing your wife if she is not a Virgin when you have sex for the first time, ignoring her when she is on her period, and refraining from all sorts of other "inpure" things ONE OF WHICH is lying with another man. If you really feel that Mosaic law is not changed by Jesus I feel sorry for you, for you are putting more stock in ancient Hebrew dogma than in Jesus.
What is the most amazing about your post though is how deeply you contradict yourself. You say that Christ is the only purity we need. and that therefore those old laws concerning purity dont need to be followed. Can you be serious? Can you really state that and then use Leviticus to show how homosexuality is wrong. Homosexuality is condemned precisely because it is supposed to be inpure!! By stating ( by the wayI agree with that statement) that Christ is all the purity we need you are proving my argument that the old puritanical hogwash of the pharises menstrual customs, sex customs etc is needless with Jesus. Thank you Aineo.
You tell me that I should read my bible more and getter a better grasp of scripture but unfortunately (Just as when you write that it is essential to hear all opinons and threaten to censor me) it is you who are in the most need of your own advice. I wonder what the last time was you gave Mathew a serious read. Does Jesus ever condemn gay sex? no. Does he however radically change the old laws of the Jews? yes. You would benefit particularely from mathew 12. how the old puritanical legalism that condemns homosexuality is directlly violated by Christ. Jesus places emphasis on spiritual kindness and love NOT a big set of rules like Levitus and to a certain extent later leaders of the church do.
It might not be apropraite to call yourself a Christian if you value the old Hebrew laws of Leviticus (which Jesus fought against) and the later opinions of church patriarchs over the words and wisdom of Jesus Christ.
