Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesRomans 14We can argue whose opinion with regards to translation all day. For all the sources you post, there are sources that disagree. Who is to say that your sources are right and the others wrong? I'm not arguing which translation is the best b/c my faith is not in a translation but in God. The early Church's translation was the OT and they did fine. Yes, I did make a sarcastic remark because your judgement is perverse. That sarcasm accurately depicts your judgement. Who gave you the authority to decide who's in a cult or not? God is the one who will separate the lamb from the goats. The lambs are those who love God and do His will rather than their own. Your judgement is meaningless because it is not of God. I'm still waiting for you to do it correctly since you say I'm not in "context." I would love to see how you explain the verses. The topic is not dealing with the law or sabbath. It only deals with Rom 14, which does not speak about dietary laws or the sabbath. I started this thread; I believe I know the topic. Aineo, if I may be blunt. Do you have some type of learning disability? I'm being sincere here. YOu say I'm adding to scripture and qoute a definition of herb in yet another vain attempt to make me out to be you. I'll address the two in bold first. Now Aineo grab your dictionary so that you can understand this okay . So you say I'm adding to this text Rom 14:1-2 - Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. I called one a vegetarian. Why did I call him that? Because he does not eat meat. Now, I did not say "meats and vegetables". I said meats and herbs. Now, does a vegetarian eat more than just vegetables? Now if you answer is yes, then why do you assume that I'm saying he only eats vegetables by calling him a vegetarian. Try again Aineo. Now, what is meat? True pork is a form of meat and snake and all types of other things. Since he does not say whether or not it is clean or unclean meat, we should not assume. Let's look at what else the same arthur had to say: 1 Timothy 4:4-5 - For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer Being inspiried by the Holy Ghost, Paul states, every creature of God is good. Then he goes on to say it is sanctified by the Word of God and prayer. So I ask, what foods were sanctified by the Word of God? It is certainly not everything. Though I don't condemn for what you choose to eat, remember the body is the Temple and to be treated with respect and care. Those who eat unheatlhty foods are no different than the smoker. And we will reap what we sow. Just as the smoker reaps cancer. Those who eat unhealthy reap a variety of diseases for the foods they chose to pollute their body with (they die in their sins). As I stated before, I'll state again. Their are arguments on all sides of the equation. SOme for and some against but who is to say who has the correct facts. Is not God the author? My faith is in Him who wrote the book and not in the book. Don't turn the Bible into an idol. For it neither can see nor speak (verbally). But the living God is able to see, speak, and listen. He is the final authority. Love Always, |
