I must tell you, even though you have done excellent research, you have totally misunderstood Romans 14.
Also, I really don't know what you have against the books dictated from Paul?
Romans 14 IS NOT about eating clean and unclean foods. The chapter is a guide to Christians and Jews to stop judging one another. Mainly judging other faiths and how they worship the Lord.
This verse sums up Romans 14 in full:
Romans 14:13 (NIV) 13Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.
Paul was inspired by the Holy Spirit. The books he wrote were and still are beautiful guides as to how we should live our lives with Jesus Christ in our hearts.
Jesus is Lord
Peace and Godspeed
Pray for Israel
This is what Truth Seeker-Joshua posted. If you agree with what he wrote than it is clear you agree that Jews and gentiles should not be judging each other based on diet, which is what Paul is addressing. Genitles did not observe the Levitical diet laws.
As to contradicting myself I don't see where I have since my position has not changed. Christians are not under the Law so therefore trangressing the Law is not sin.
And this was your mistake, you assumed I said something I did not say because it was logical to you. I was talking about the situation because I didn't post the whole thing. But verse 8 above should clarify. Do me a favor, If I don't say it, don't assume it. Ask if you need clarity.
Then be more precise with your personal interpretations since you are assuming a lot based on an antiquated translation, which by your own admission you don't even know what the words used mean.
Do you also read the Bible at "face value"? Aineo, take your time and understand first. You are rebutting me with opinion and things that are not said. I'm simply repeating what is in the actual text. You add a personal meaning to what you wish it to mean. Get wisdom first, that is the best way. Look within, and stop looking at the face, but at the spirit. Speak with understanding friend.
Really? Repeating words you can't define and assuming based on your lack of knowledge you think you can understand what the words mean?
As to the individual verses you quoted what is your point? Stringing texts together taken out of context is the last resort of a cult member who is loosing a debate.
The Biblical fact is Christians do not have to observe the Law. Since you abandoned the Paul and the Law thread I am going to take it as an admission of defeat and that you are trying to redeem your pride with this thread.
