Christian/Muslim ThreadsDo Christian men have a strong sense of Brotherhood?Brother, Your post sounds like Sardab speaking. What proof do you have to support your claim that "Christianity provides such little practical guidance"? Don't go using mis-representitive christians to support your claim as there are as many mis-representitive Mulsims in the world who behave as if Islam provides such little practical guidance. And seeing as this thread deals with brotherhood, Muslims don't show any more brotherhood than Christians do. Sure you can go into a Mosque and shake hands with a few brothers and exchange some salaams... But try being a "white Muslim" in a "Bangladeshi" (for example) Mosque where you will get two or three salaams from about two hundred Muslims. Yes, when I was a Muslim I felt an overwhelming feeling of brotherly Love from many Muslims from all ethnic groups. But the majority of those who I gave salutations to only responded with a blank gaze, or a turn of the head. Sure I may have come across a lot of mis-representative Muslims, and the brotherly Love of a few Muslims was more than enough to make up for the disappointments from others. The truth is, I received as much brotherly Love when I entered a "Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses", and sisterly Love too (amazingly without taking permission from their husbands). And now from Christians I experience the same brotherly Love. Do you really need to treat your wife like your eldest child to be able to feel like a "man of action"? Do you really need to be able to beat your wife to be able to feel like a "real man"? Oh yeah, did I mention that your post sounds like Sardab speaking? . |
