Loki wrote:yes but Allah translated, is a fairly general name for God
the word is a proper noun, not a common noun.
Loki wrote:and probably Arabian Zorastrians also worshipped Ahura Mazda as Allah when reffering to his diety.
Nope, not even a probability.
Loki wrote:In a same way did the ancient pagans worship Hubbal with the name Allah to reffer to his diety.
Hubbal was the son of
Al-Uzza one of the daughters of Alllaah according to makkan pagan beliefs so how is Hubbal Alllaah if Hubbal is the grandson of Alllaah , subhaanaAllah 'ammaa sharakoo !
Loki wrote:If you say that Christians worshipped the same God (that wich isn't true) then the Pagans when worshipping Hubal were worshipping that same God too, merely because they called it Allah too, by your reasoning.
Dude how many time are we going to go over this. We dont worship Jesus, He is not G-d but only the servant of G-d . So yes we dont worship the same G-d. The Jews also say the same. They do not worship Jesus and do not believe Jesus is G-d.
Loki wrote:Well your a muslim your forced to believe this
I wasnt forced to do anything. It is what I believed even before I became muslim.

Well lets see some say, according to Lane, that the derivation of that word is uncertain.
إِلَه {ilah} is the same as the Hebrew {eloahh} and the Chaldee {elahh} ; and is of uncertain derivation: accor. to some
More than likely the reason they dont acknowledge it being derived from
اله is because this root does not support alif masoorah in
إِلَه = ilah which I agree with.

Certainly we reject it.
Apple wrote:2) If you choose the “arabicized” route, then first you need to come forth with a valid reference for your position (which there are none!); and then by adhering to this line of reasoning you would be admitting that the god that you worship is a hand-me-down god and not pure Arabic
The Quran is our reference.
