Christian/Muslim ThreadsTrinity ~ God is One not 3!I'm not even sure as to why I responded to you, your obviously blinded by lack of humility and the inability to submit to the Truth. Don't like being rebuked in front of your peers? Is that whats holding you back? I say this because you haven't answered any of my posts. Wow, you utterly amaze me my friend, I suppose the water symbolized baptism correct? Jesus came to fulfill all righteousness and to shed His BLOOD for the remission of sins, youhave your head stuck in the days of Noah and still live by Old Testament standards, Jesus came and fulfilled the Law and demonstrated the Grace of God by pouring His blood out for your sins. Why don't you read carefully the entire verse in its context instead of cutting the verse apart. Baptism does also now save us does not mean that water baptism is essential to salvation, Since it cannot wash away the filth of the flesh, Baptism shows the answer of a good conscience toward God, In other words baptism is a conscious testimony to ones faith in the resurrection of Christ because it symbolizes our resurrection with Him. Key words"GOOD CONSCIENCE" and "CANNOT WASH AWAY THE FILTH" ONLY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST CAN, OPEN YOUR EYES!!! Do you know what this verse is trying to explain to you? You believe that the verse quoted teaches baptismal regeneration, that baptism is required for salvation. Several key factors were evidently misunderstood by you. Here is what you did not consider. The Historical narrative of Pauls conversion mentioned in Chapter 9 of ACTS, and it clearly shows that he(Paul)was saved and filled with the Holy Spirit before His baptism! Secondly the same is true of Cornelius conversion in Chapter 10 of ACTS!, he was CLEARLY SAVED and baptized with the Spirit before he was baptized in water. More importantly you have failed to listen to Pauls teaching on this subject. Regeneration not WATER BAPTISM, washes our sins away:Titus 3:5 - Not by works of righteousness which we have done, (but according to his mercy he saved us), by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; As a matter of fact, Paul helps us to see more properly the relation of baptism to regeneration by minimizing baptism. It is the redeeming Blood of Christ that washes away ours sins:1 John 1:7 - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and (the blood of Jesus Christ) his Son cleanseth us from all sin. That verse you quoted is really trying to tell YOU to be baptized and wash away your sins by calling on the name of the Lord, water baptism is an outward action symbolizing what regeneration has already accomplished in the Christian Life! I hate to break this to you, but your fruits are clearly displayed in your responses and your spiritual blindness remains. Once again you make a mockery of the Precious blood of Christ and His Blood which is the only resource available the can cleanse your filth! You like others who block the entrance to the Kingdom of God believe that your special like Noah and His chosen, I can assure you that God in His mercy and Grace which has abounded will allow even sinners entrance into His Kingdom before you will.
