Quote: I know it’s scary, it is even a sin to doubt God, but ask yourself why the Bible says that.
Praise God, you do acknowledge that not all things can be answered by your own understanding.
This my friend is a sign that you have not thrown away completely your desires to know the truth about spiritual matters even if they are beyond your ability to prove physically.
Why indeed are there so many denominations? Is it possible that the evil in this world thrives on deception? I believe so. We are only human, I believe is your loud cry, and being human we differ in our understandings.
Does this make one right and another wrong?
For our feeble way of thinking it does, but what about God?
I understand my Bible to tell me that every individual is known by their individual understanding. Belonging to the club does not make you the team captain.
I also believe my Bible to tell me that in the end their will only be two groups of people, those that believe and have chosen to walk in the understanding God has given them. And those who have chosen to reject the truth that God has revealed. Why rejection? That my friend is a question that I, you, generations of people and even God Himself has asked.
As far as to why sin will never again raise its ugly head, look around, we will not forget its cost. Doubt as to whether or not God is love will never again happen.
God did not choose to force us through this world in its fallen state, He chose to carry us through, he has prepared and provided the way for us to come through until the completion of His reunification plan.
The question that is probably coming now is why didn't God crush satan in the beginning? Love is not love unless the opportunity for rejection is there.
If God had crushed satan then the very claims he was making against God would have been supported.
You refer me to other books for study, have you ever considered the stories, which we now know to be, prophesies within the Bible? Kingdoms have risen and fallen when and how they were foretold. Faithfulness and deceit have happened when, where and how they were foretold. Births and deaths, when and how they were foretold. Not to mention the span of time, the level of education differences between the authors, the locations, and the consistence of the truth.
One person said it is as if every day someone came by to visit. You never met these people before and they all left a piece of stone behind when they left.
After many years you have a giant pile of rubble, but when the time is taken you find out that each peace passes perfectly together with another piece. After joining them all together you have a beautiful sculpture.
That my friend is the way the Bible is, years of information that pass together perfectly. And with the light of understanding we receive from God through His Holy Spirit, we can understand the beauty of His love.
God is not asking that any of us take someone else’s understanding and make it our own. He is asking us to seek Him, seek His truth, seek His presence. If we will individually seek Him, we will also individually find Him.
Again does this mean we will have individual denominations? Is there more then one truth, one God, one Savior? God wants to answer us, but as long as we dictate to Him, how, when and where He must reveal Himself we are only falling into the traps we are setting for ourselves. We are robbing ourselves of true peace and hope. His thoughts are not as ours, and His ways are not as ours. Is this a copout, no it is a truth about a God who sees farther and understands deeper then we can ever hope to in our fallen state.
My friend I would recommend you take the Bible in your hands, ask God to remove the clouds of denominational beliefs that were driven into your head. And ask Him to reveal Himself to you in truth. Ask and you will receive.
Ask Him to show you what He knows you need to see.
But please remember, if you read with the intent of finding mistakes in translations that is what you will find. However if you truly want to find God and an understanding of His plans for you and yours that is just what you will find.
Adjustment of your motives is the key, which lock do you want to open?
My prayers are with you, and I know that if you will seek you will find.
God Bless You,
Brother Jerry -The Berlin Bear
