Christian/Muslim ThreadsChauvinism and ReligionThe author of that little paragraph makes ridiculous links between race (namely Europeans) and religion. Christianity is a universal religion, it was preached universally, and it is evident universally. His little conspiracy theory has no grounds for it obviously. Well I raise the following questions in regards to that little statement: 1) On what grounds does the author conclude and generalize about some sort of “racial self confidence” and then even more importantly on what grounds does he link this with religion? 2) When exactly was this point in time, when this apparent “racial self confidence” started to decline, and what kind of statistical information does he have to show a correlation between this somehow significant descent of “racial self confidence” (which in itself is a ridiculous idea) and doubt for religion? As long as Satan is ruler of this world (until Christ’s second coming), is as long as doubts have and will continue to creep into religion (that’s his job isn’t it). Doubts in Christ date back from the Jews who at times doubted the coming of any sort of a Messiah, to the disciples who doubted Christ when he was led to be crucified (their faith renewed when they became eye witnesses to His resurrection), to early Christians who were being martyred to their faith, to people today converting to satans diverse range of cults. I mean I see no problem with the fact doubts creep in in general - that is no invalidation to religion, but I find it ridiculous that he is trying to make the point that some sort of idea of racial superiority was the only basis for a strong faith. |
