Science, Creation & EvolutionHas there been a good argument against Evolution?I figured that out and simply asked a question if anyone has discussed the human eye. Since "evolution" is a matter of speculation by both the pro and the con side you and I both know there is no empirical scientific evidence that can prove or disprove either position. There is a lot of speculative rhetoric on both sides, but no real proof. Evolution is taught as a scientific fact when in reality it has not been proved. Creationists rely on the Bible, which is not a book of science to establish philosophically a position that science has yet to prove. Both sides of this issue have advocates with impressive credentials and neither side will ever prove the other wrong. So my stance is until science can prove macro-evolution is a scientific fact it should not be taught as a scientific fact. Since evolutionists take the position macro-evolution is fact it is up to them to prove their position it is not up to me to disprove their position. Newton’s laws of gravity can be demonstrated scientifically. Einstein’s theories have replaced Newton’s because Einstein’s theories better describe and demonstrate gravity. This is how science works. To date paleontologists have yet to find a transitional fossil, so to teach macro-evolution as scientific fact is to say the least not scientific. The Bible speaks of 6 days of creation, which some well-qualified Hebrew scholars see as 6 creative epochs of undetermined time, which could be 24 literal hours or millions of years. Each creative period is Biblically described “and there was evening and there was morning”, except the seventh or the "day" God rested from His work of creation. Historians use “dawning of a new period of history” and the “twilight of a period of history” as a metaphor. Since the Hebrew can be understood both ways I will not take a dogmatic stance when taking such a stance prevents and/or interferes with sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Can the human eye "disprove" macro-evolution was my question, since Darwin is said to have stated the human eye does not conform to his "Origin of Species". I ask a question and the supporters of evolution avoid the question with attacks. This alone leaves me with the impression that answering good questions is not part of the evolutionists agenda. |
