Science, Creation & EvolutionHas there been a good argument against Evolution?Mathematicians will state that any statistical analysis with a extremely low probability is statistically speaking impossible. I don't remember the exact probability of the human eye resulting from evolution however it exceeded 1 in 10 followed by 100 zero's. This is not proof that evolution is false, however, science has yet to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that macro-evolution is fact. There is no doubt that dinosaurs roamed the earth; there is no doubt that animals were buried during a catastrophic event, which preserved the bones through fossilization. What is not fact is when this catastrophic event happened, what it was, and what caused it. Investigations have shown a meteor impact is a likely cause for some fossils, but not all. A worldwide flood prior to the breakup of Pangaea could account for all fossils. When you consider that the Himalayas, the Alps, and etc. are the result of continental drift such a flood could reasonably be seen as the reason for many fossils as the depth of the water would not have to exceed the height of Mt. Everest. What really fascinates me is the similarities between: ; and Pangaea. The fact Moses wrote this about 1500 B.C.E. may be coincidental in the minds of some; but I don't believe in coincidences. |
