Science, Creation & EvolutionHas there been a good argument against Evolution?Debating the "Origin of Species" detracts from what we as Christians are called to do, which is preach the gospel. There are many eminant and well qualified Christian scientists who do not accept Genesis 1:2ff as literal. For me it is immaterial if God created the world in 6 literal days, 6 billion years, or 6 nano-seconds since to me it is obvious the universe and our planet demonstrate intelligent design not stability out of chaos. Neither evolution nor creationism can be empirically proven so the debate is nothing more than opinions being expressed by opinionated people. Using the science of statistics it is possible to show the evolution of the human eye is impossible and that a current worldwide population of 6 billion is possible starting with one mating pair of humans 6 thousands years ago. The Bible is not a scientific textbook; it is the God breathed word of God given to mankind to teach us the purpose of our Creator. We are living in a time when the fulfillment of all Biblical prophecy is imminent. So to get side tracked by debating the origins of the universe, which cannot be scientifically proved is a waste of time. Let scientists investigate and let people of faith practice their faith since both will be revealed as true or false in the very near future. |
