ArchivedAtheists, Buddhism, Pagan, or the Jewish religion :: Faith and SalvationFaith and Salvation But that's just my point--this type of argument does not express any faith in God or your savior. (In fact, the only thing this type of argument expresses is opportunism.) Kind of a slap in the face for a religion like yours that is centered around faith. Interesting. Exactly my point. Why??? If it is his nature to save, (ie he is truly and absolutely a savior) then why the qualifications?? Just as a person who goes through his entire life destroying his own body has the "right" to be treated by a physician (whether or not outsiders believe that the person deserves help)--because and ONLY because it is the nature of a caring physician to treat disease and ease suffering. The caring doctor does not take into account the person's actions, or whether or not the patient believes in the doctor's ability. It has nothing at all to do with what a person 'deserves' it has to do with the nature of the 'helper'...For it is the doctor's nature to help heal, just as, presumably, it is the savior's nature to save. |
