When Jesus prayed to The Father," And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Matthew 26:39
God not only manifested himself as a Father, He had demonstrated Himself as a Son. He had demonstrated how we as Sons or children of God should live.
As children or sons of God we should be willing to go on and fulfill the will of God even during the midst of trials and turmoils.
Jesus demonstrated how a SON should live when He resisted Temptation as we should also do.
Do you understand? Or do you already know this, and i am quite sure that you do.
Jesus said,"I have overcome the World." And we likewise should overcome to inherit the Kingdom.
It is written: And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: Revelation 2:26
So as to did Jesus pray to Himself?
Jesus said that the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. God is manifested in Spirit and in Man. God in Man was fulfilling the Will of God by the Spirit of God. When He prayed The Spirit of God lead him to continue as willing even when as Man felt the torment and dread of not the Crucifixion but the wrath of God being put upon Him for the remission of our sins and even though dreadful, continued to do the will of the Father as we as Children or Sons should Do.
God Bless!
