Thank you for trying to lead me down what I am sure you feel in your heart is the right path. But I am afraid you have not convinced me.
You quoted John 16:13. There are many phrases in the New Testament that could be interpreted in such a way as to indicate that Jesus is God, and there are just as many, or more, that indicate that Jesus is not God, but the Son of God.
You say that Jesus spoke in parables so the wise would understand.
God spoke very plainly so that everyone would understand. Ex 20:2 I am the Lord thy God.
Jesus continually refers to God as the Father. Why would he do this if he were God?
