ArchivedMuhammad - No MiraclesMaybe I do If God is beyond our understanding then we definitely shouldnt be able to even fathom him having a son and therefore even this concept should be beyond our comprehension. As a matter of fact, we should not even be able to know that God exists because that too would be beyond our comprehension. If, as yuo say, He transcends the boundaries of Human cognizance. And one surely cannot elucidate the concepts of the Love of God or the Majesty of God, if the world exists the way you say it does. This is also confusion and nothing more than the things you have made up, and indeed even Christian scholars made up to explain the things they could not explain, and to stifle intellectual curiosity. Yes you have it right, those who keep their trust and faith and duty to God, he Loves them, and those that don't He does not love. It is conditional of course, just like Christianity. But one things Christians fail to do is define Love. And this is sortof a trap "little man." Because if you begin to define love to me, then you are telling me there are certain things that are within your human comprehension about God. The worst part though is that ur being a little bit of a hypocrite because you know full well that the Christianity says exactly the same thing. Even if you put up some verse that says that God loves everyone, you still have to define what that "love" is. And what you will define is that God takes care of all His creation without His creation even having to ask, and indeed without most of them grateful in the least. Yet God continues to sustain them with food, air, health, and wealth. And they have never thanked God for it in the least. But the Quran says: "and they worship God with the bowing of their shadows at the two ends of the day, even those who don't even believe in God." (that was a paraphrase). So if you mean to say that God (love = takes care) of all his creatures then you are correct but if you say that God is (well, ever how people think of it) then you are wrong. The Quran also mentions this, it says (paraphrasing) "and the Jews say they are sons of Allah, and the Christians say they are sons of Allah, so ask them why it is they will be punished (if they dont believe etc etc)." So if we are all Children of the father, as most of you claim (prodigal son, that's hilarious), then why am I going to punished? |
