ArchivedMuhammad - No MiraclesHi again gif, The islamic belief is very simple...there is no god except God. the arabic word for the Creator of the Entire Universe is "Allah" and btw, even Arab Christians use the word "Allah", something people on here may not know, since they continue to blaspheme the name, but that's beside the point. As God is my witness, I have warned them about this. Muslims do not believe God has children, either boys or girls, Muslims also do not believe that God was ever born...or that there are little lesser gods helping God. Muslims DO believe that God is the Creator and Originator of the Universe. That He is all powerful, that He is perfectly Just and infinitely Merciful. We also believe that you can challenge your belief in God and you will always come back, using science, reason, and logic to the conclusion, without religion, that there IS one and only one God. Thus, to not believe in God becomes an act not only of simple denial, but in fact denying Reality, denying Truth, Justice all of which emanate and began with God. Thus God has a sense of majesty and grandeur that Human beings cannot imagine, and to believe that God has or needs a son, daughter, children, etc runs counter to the very nature of what God has taught us that he is. Muslims believe that it is somehow, not demeaning (although i think so) but rather "defining", or "shrinking" God, to say that he took on a human form and walked on earth. Or to give him the qualities of literally a parent. For example, the very definition of God, logically precludes that there can only be One. If God has any qualities of infiniteness, and muslims, jews, christians etc believe there are many "infinite" qualities, then one cannot have mulitple infinities. Its illogical/irrational. Hope that helped. -Ismael |
