ArchivedQuestions about the BibleYes we are to be kind and gentle, but when it comes to the truth you have to speak boldly sometimes. When the Pharises confronted Jesus' desciples for doing "wrong", did Jesus just ignore the situation? No! He fixed whatever the Pharisees were saying and protected his desciples. Plus, Mike, you have no right to judge me on how my tone was, you do not even know if I was being disrespectful just from reading a post. Along with kindness and gentleness, Christianity also teaches righteous judgement. It's not me who needs to calm my temper(I'm not sure if it has actually risen), but other people just need to learn how to take critisizm and not feel discouraged. Christianity isn't this soft, puffy, huggy love religion. It is a religion of righteousness and truth. And sometimes when you express those, you do it boldly. When Jesus saw that people were selling offerings in the temple, did he not get angry and turn the tables over and made a whip to chase the people away? He did it for righteousness, the temple was a house of worship, not a "den of theives." You can show that Jesus was angry and did not sin, yet how can you prove that I was angry and yet sinned? The only way you can think I was being aggresive was because I used bold letters, and I used those bold letters to highlight a verse in the bible. Do not be so quick to judge, my friend. |
