ArchivedQuestions about the BibleYou do not get it do you? The bible is a Jesus book. Although it is good to study other parts of scripture like you are doing, your main focus has to be on Jesus. That is the priority. If someone is not a Christian(I believe you are not, but I could be wrong) their focus is not going to be on Jesus and preaching the gospel. They're going to focus on other parts of the bible and neglect the most important thing. Therefore your opinion does not mean anything to me on the bible because you do not have your priorities straight. Like God said to the Jews "consider your ways." When you "consider your ways" then we'll be able to talk. There's no reason for me to talk to a non-Christian on other parts of the bible if they do not get past the first and most important step, which is the gospel. So if you have questions on the gospel, then ask. Then when it is time to talk about the Kings, we will talk about them. Well, there is two ways you can answer this question. The first way is, since different gospels have different views on this, that does not prove that Jesus was not crucified. When you have different witnesses to a story, are you going to get the same exact answer from all the witnesses? The point is ALL the gospels teach that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. That is the main and essential part of the gospel. If all the gospels were exactly the same we would be hearing about a "conspiracy." Whether Jesus carried the cross or not is important in a way, but it is secondary to the main point of each gospel. The second way to answer your question is on this site: http://www.carm.org/diff/Mark15_20.htm *Remember, all Christians do not have the same opinion on secondary issues, but we do have the same fundamental believe, that Jesus died for our sins so that we may have eternal life. |
