As to your question concerning: Wrong, the value of y equals the combined values of x and c^2. Let me use this example 144 = 1 * 12^2. Does 144 (y) depend on the value of 1 (x) or x * 12^2? You can change x to 16 and c^2 to 3^2 and still get 144 as the value of y. Now, lets look at a closed system that is used in heating buildings in some areas and that closed system is radiant heating. In this type of system the total mass remains the same as does the total energy since the energy required to heat the water or other liquid in the closed system is dissipated as heat. However the amount of energy in this closed system is equal to the mass times light speed squared. So what happens if light speed is not a constant? The amount of energy does not change but the value of m does. |
