This is a ridiculous answer. Samson most certainly did commit suicide. He dropped a building on himself. How can that not be considered suicide? If I take a gun, put it to my head, pray “let me die” to God, and pull the trigger, have I not committed suicide? Of course, I have. How is what Samson did any different? “He left it in God’s hands” is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I left the fate of the gun and the bullet in God’s hands – the gun could have misfired, or the bullet could have somehow ricocheted and not killed me. Samson holding a building over his head and dropping it is not any more “leaving it in God’s hands” than me holding a gun to my head and pulling the trigger. And to top it all off, the author didn’t even answer the question. That’s all that I’m going to respond to at this time because I think any reply to any of the other Objection/Answer sets would basically just be more of the same. |
