Apologetics Forum: Ask questions about Christianity/Debate doctrinesOSAS viewsWhere is the Biblical proof that Saul, Solomon, Judas, and the unnamed disciples of John 6:66 were ever saved in the first place? You fault me for not proving Biblically that they were not saved, yet you and the author provide not proof that they were saved. The author uses Luke 8:13 to claim that one can lose salvation. As you’re aware, that verse is taken from the parable of the sower. The question to consider when looking at that verse is: Can one receive the word with joy, believe for a while, yet still not be saved? I’d ask you to consider the multitude that greeted Jesus on Palm Sunday while you think about the answer to that question. They were pretty joyful, weren’t they? They believed Jesus was the Christ, didn’t they? Were they all saved? |
