SubmitTo1God...
-First, I want you to understand that my statements are not to justify what God did, What God did is already justified.
4. Numbers 31:17: Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him. But all the young girls who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves .... verse 21: This is the statute of the law which the LORD (Jesus) has commanded Moses ....
Why do they kill all the male children (little boys), and all of the women, but keep alive the young little girls who have not slept with any man? What might it be like for those little girls to be with men who just killed their mothers and little brothers?
Is the Lord who is commanding in this verse Jesus? After all Jesus is God and was before Abraham, right?
-do you really acknowledge Jesus as God and as before Abraham as you have stated?...He certainly is God and was before Abraham, but He was not in the flesh untill after Abraham. What He did before His life in the flesh here on earth, was to make the way for what He was to do, which was to be crucified in the flesh, which was to bring those who loved Him, to Him, to be in peace forevermore. Jesus'crucifixion was His goal to save His people, what happend before that crucifixion, was to make possible that crucifixion...the world was already in ugly place, but God saw what would be, and has made every Christian more beautiful then my words here on this earth can express, in Christ Jesus our Lord.
-the young women had not yet been made one flesh with the evildoing men, thus they still had their purity, and they could be made right before God. God would have no problem with His men being with women whose purity had not been stripped of them, and as far as what would it be like for them, well they were freed from the wicked, and though they might not have understood at the time, like it seems you don't understand, they were set free...their soul is much more important than preserving their wicked families' lives here on earth for them to of had a false sense of security on earth a little while longer,...just because you don't understand God's justness, doesn't make Him unjust.
5. Deuteronomy 22:28 : If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.
Does this woman want to marry the man that just did this horrible act to her?
-okay, well read different translations to get the full meaning of the words, Hebrew is a rich language, and it would be one thing if it was one of the words that could only be translated that way, but it is not; in fact, a whole lot of other translations translate it differently, as being something he pursued and something she consented to, but he would still be raping her in a sense because the Jews knew it was un-lawful to have sex with a woman before marriage, and a man is the one who does the act of pushing through(exerting force on) the woman in sex, thus the one who forces the unlawful sex.
6. Deuteronomy 21:10-14: "When you go out to war against your enemies and the LORD, your God, delivers them into your hand, so that you take captives, if you see a comely woman among the captives and become so enamored of her that you wish to have her as wife, you may take her home to your house. But before she may live there, she must shave her head and pare her nails and lay aside her captive's garb. After she has mourned her father and mother for a full month, you may have relations with her, and you shall be her husband and she shall be your wife. However, if later on you lose your liking for her, you shall give her her freedom, if she wishes it; but you shall not sell her or enslave her, since she was married to you under compulsion."
Did Jesus (God) allow you to just take women for yourselves?
-the women captives God allowed were permittable by God to be with His men, if His men so willed, thus a privilidge for the women for God to allow such a thing for them, to be with His men, and freed from the wicked men they were with that His men had defeated, but there were still precautions God advised His men to take so the women could be seperated from their old nature.
7. A priest's daughter who loses her honor by committing fornication and thereby dishonors her father also, shall be burned to death. (Leviticus 21:9)
Is burning to death a moral death penalty?
-the only reason there is moral is because there is God, and all that God does is just, for a just reason, and how do you know that He wasn't saving the woman from an eternal fire by having her to experience a death by fire here on earth, in honor of His priests?, or that He wasn't refering to an eternal fire?...regardless of which one it is, a woman who did that is already morally corrupt...do you think a clay pot knows how to tell the potter who created it what He should do?, do you think you the creation can tell the Creator what He should be doing?
8. They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13)
Infidels and non-believers deserve death? Where is the freedom of religion and choice?
-they were already dead, their bodys being here on earth was unneccesarry...they had the choice to choose God, just as you have the choice to choose God, there is no more choice for the creation to make when it comes to their creator, they can either choose Him(choose life), or they can not choose Him(choose death)...just because He didn't want the dead people around on the earth to hinder those who had chose Him, to get in the way of His divine plans, doesn't mean He didn't give them the freedom to choose.
9. Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors. "The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him." (Deuteronomy 13:13-19)
10. If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12)
Jesus wanted them to kill their own family, whether son or daughter, brother or sister!
-Perhaps you just don't understand the real meaning of life, they were already dead, He did not want them to spread to others like a disease, but rather wanted them destroyed, just because your body is here on this earth doesn't mean you're not dead if you're without Christ(your body is degrading each day, and one day it'll be dead, and you'll see that you'll either have life in the Spirit, or be dead in Hell).
11. Then I heard the LORD (Jesus) say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. (Ezekiel 9:5-7)
12. "You are my battle-ax and sword," says the LORD. "With you I will shatter nations and destroy many kingdoms. With you I will shatter armies, destroying the horse and rider, the chariot and charioteer. With you I will shatter men and women, old people and children, young men and maidens. With you I will shatter shepherds and flocks, farmers and oxen, captains and rulers. " (Jeremiah 51:20-26)
Jesus doesn't even want animals to live let alone old people and children!
13. Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword. Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes. Their homes will be sacked and their wives raped by the attacking hordes. For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off. The attacking armies will shoot down the young people with arrows. They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for the children. (Isaiah 13:15-1
.... Any opinion on all of this?
-about the animals, don't worry about them, God has His plan for them, and when they die here in this world, they are set free from this vile place, no more empty stomachs for them, and all of God's creation is eagerly awaiting for the saints of God, those who are in Christ Jesus.
-as for the children, don't worry about them, if anything it was mercy for them to be killed so they would not have to be brought up in their evil village and could be atoned for by Christ's sacrifice, and as for people, people were already dead(why wait for the bodys to decompose?). If God was getting their bodys physically out of the world, it was for a just cause. God's plans in the OT were leading the way for Him to be our savior Jesus Christ. He had many people exterminated, who were already retched, filthy, and evil natured people(spiritually dead), who were not going to choose Him. He already knew this because of His fore-knowledge...He is all-knowing, and God used the people that did choose Him(the truth) to clear out peoples, villages(what not), so that there would be nothing to hinder the way for the Lord Jesus Christ(God with us)...God's plans were in accordance to His divine will to bring the people that had chose Him, and that would choose Him, to Him, through Jesus Christ...Every knee shall bend and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
