Zeke the Pagan wrote:John 19:3
When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.
The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
(THIS STATMENT PROOVES THAT THE ROMANS ARE NOT GUILTY OF JESUS DEATH)
Would you care to explain why this proves that the Romans are not guilty of Jesus' death, especially since John 19:3 is:
John 19:3
3 and they began to come up to Him, and say, "Hail, King of the Jews!" and to give Him blows in the face. NAS
In fact John writes:
John 19:15-16
15 They therefore cried out, "Away with Him, away with Him, crucify Him!" Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar." 16 So he then delivered Him to them to be crucified. NAS
The "he" is Pilate and since only the Roman govenor could order the execution of Jesus, Jesus was crucified by the Roman Empire not by the Jews.
However, you may mean John 19:6-7
John 19:6-7
6 When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, "Crucify, crucify!" Pilate said to them, "Take Him yourselves, and crucify Him, for I find no guilt in Him." 7 The Jews answered him, "We have a law, and by that law He ought to die because He made Himself out to be the Son of God." NAS
It is unfortunate you start your time on this message board misusing the Bible in an ignorant attempt to change what is actually written in the Bible.
