Christian/Muslim ThreadsWhy muslims cast stones at a well in Mecca.
"When I was a Muslim" means that I came to Islam by my own choice at 20 years of age after previously sharing the beliefs of the Jehovah's Witnesses. "When I was a Muslim" means that I practised Islam properly and seriously without neglecting any of the articles of faith or practice. I learnt my religion from Qur'an primarily, and then from Hadith, and I rejected Hadith that went against the Qur'an. I practised Islam the way I was supposed to do, without giving in to pressure to take on a particular practise without first referring to Qur'an and Sunnah. If you like you can question me privately about the beliefs and practises that I held as a former Muslim, so you can test whether I was "Muslim enough" to ever claim the religion as my own. |
