Acts 7:59
59 And they went on stoning Stephen as he called upon the Lord and said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!"
NAS
Endurance wrote:Because when they speak of God manifesting himself in the flesh, they refer to Him as the Son. When they speak of the comforter and His prescence that all around us, they refer to Him as the Holy Spirit. And when they talk about Him as Father of creation and his sovereignity, they refer to Him as the Father. And if you notice, they also refer to Son as creator like the father, they refer to the Father and Christ being in us, which is the Holy Spirit. THey make it very simple that there is only one God, in one person.
The only way you can substantiate this "theory" is to ignore the full context of the Scriptures that refer to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as distinct persons. You have not answered my question you have rationalized what you choose to believe.
Your analogy concerning the Holy Spirit simply avoids my question. How does a spirit have a spirit? The human body is flesh but flesh does not have flesh; flesh consists of flesh. So I ask again how does a spirit have a spirit?
