Science, Creation & EvolutionNEW THEORY!Tuppence, there have been a number of responses from people way more knowledgeable than myself, to your husbands theories on the decay of c......I could regurgitate them on here, and I am sure Barry could counter with resounding vehemence. I find this to be a dead end street. My perspective was firmly established while I was at a conference in Cambridge in England, where I met Dr. Polkinghorne (immediate past president of Cambridge) a renowned physicist, Dr David Block astrophysist, who heads up the observatory in South Africa. Both are sound Christians who are on fire for the Lord. Both are truly world renowned in their fields, and both hold your husbands theory in disdain. I am not going to banter the specifics, as many rebuttles are available on the web for those interested. It is interesting to note that young earth sites are the only supporters your husbands work counts in his court. Certainly good scientific evidence for the decay of C would be more accepted in mainstream science if it had any credibility at all. The idea of evolutions demise, for instance, is slowly gaining acceptance in many 'secular' arena's, as the science for evolution and origin of life is not at all supportive of the theories of Darwin. Unfortunately that cannot be said for the decay of C. This is just another extreme tactic used by some Christians to avoid what they think is a "compromise to naturalism"....this fear drives YEC to spouse poor science to support poor exegesis....in my opinion. |
